Michael has been admitted to practice law in New York for the last 32 years. He focuses his law practice on civil litigation, negligence, criminal law and family law. He graduated in 1987 from New York University and thereafter from Brooklyn Law School with a JD in 1991. He is admitted to United States District Court for the Eastern District and Southern District of New York since November 1992. He was also admitted to the United States Supreme Court in October 2009. Mr. Mirotznik formally served as counsel to Assemblyman Joseph Saladino,
Nassau County Delegation leader. He is the past president of the Nassau Lawyer’s Association of Long Island. Former prosecutor of the Village of East Rockaway and current Associate Justice. Mr. Mirotznik was the recipient of the United Hospital Fund Distinguished Trustee award for 2015, and the 2016 recipient of the Long Island Business News Award. He is the recipient of the 2017 Hon. William Gittleman Award from the Nassau Lawyers Association of Long Island, Inc. Current Board Member of Lakewood MidRise Association, Boca West Country Club.
Mr. Mirotznik was appointed by the Honorable Edward Mangano Nassau County Executive in April of 2014 and again in 2016 to serve as Chairman of the Board of NuHealth/Nassau University Medical Center which is the largest public healthcare corporation in Nassau County, with approximately 3,500 emloyees. Michael is grateful of the continued support of his wife and two children.
